ELVIS CHUKWUDI OKONJI         –         Chairman/C.E.O

elvis-okonji-180Elvis holds a B.Sc in Banking and Finance from University of Calabar and an MBA from the University of Uyo.  He is an astute Entrepreneur with varied working experience in different business sectors.

He started his 15 year career with Midas Bank PLC, moved to Gulf Bank and later First Atlantic and Bank PHB. He rose to Senior Management Position in Bank PHB leaving to pioneer GPC Energy and Logistics Ltd. An Alumnus of the Prestigious Lagos Business School(LBS), he also undertook leadership programme at Cranfield Institute of Management in the United Kingdom. He brings a wealth of experience to the management team.

He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of GPC Energy and Logistics since inception and under his leadership the company has grown in leaps and bounds. He is a man of integrity with a great passion for Logistics that has seen him travel all over the world, studying and conducting research on strategies and techniques to improve the business.

He has several training courses both locally and international to his credit and is a true visionary leader.  He is also the current Chairman of the Board of Directors.



DAMISA ABUBAKAR SALIU         -Director, Admin & Finance

 

Damisa is a graduate of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Masters in Public Administration both from Lagos State University, Ojo. He also possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Transport and Logistics Management from the Nautical Institute of Technology of Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.

Damisa is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria and a Certified Professional Manager and a Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).  He is also a Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist by International Institute of Export and Import of Dunlap Stone University, Arizona, USA.  Damisa is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport of Nigeria and Member, The Institute of Shipping Technology.

Damisa has 21 years of experience in Transport and Logistics Management, Treasury Management, Administration and Human Resources spanning Banking, Print Media and Oil & Gas.  Before joining GPC Energy and Logistics Limited, he had worked in the then Concord Press Nigeria Limited, Midas Bank Plc and Allied Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, Nepal Oil and Gas and Consultant/Productive Support to Rano Oil and Gas Limited.



OPEMIKUN IBITOYE                    –         Director, Operations & Technical

 

opemikun-ibitoyeOpemikun is a Director overseeing the various operations of the company. He also supervise the Logistics, Maintenance and Operations Supports function of the company.

An Electrical Engineer by training, with a B.Eng from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, he is a multi-talented and vivacious personality. He is a Communications/I.T Expert and a keen Financial Analyst; versed in Budgeting/Forecasting, Modelling and Project Management.

Before joining GPC Group he had worked with First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Bank PHB in different capacities. He has attended various training courses overseas on Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management and Technology.

 



GBOYEGA OLUSAKIN                –         Head, Ewekoro Operations

 

gboyega-olusakinMr Gboyega Olusakin is a graduate of Philosophy from Ondo State University, Ado – Ekiti and an alumni of the prestigious Lagos Business School. He has attended several courses in Logistics Management locally and internationally. He has over 20 years of working experience mainly in Transport Logistics. His career started at the emergence of Logistics Outsourcing to third party as a means of competency leveraging in Supply Chain Management hence he became a pioneering member of third party Provider of Transport Logistics in Nigeria.

Gboyega is a member of professional bodies such as, Council of Logistics Management, Logistics Society of Nigeria (Leader of freight group), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), and Road Haulage Association of Nigeria. He has served as Transport Logistics Consultant to some manufacturing companies in Nigeria and represented Nigerian Transporters at the e-commerce project of ECOWAS whose mandate was to remove logistics bottlenecks along West African corridors.



TONY MOKOGWU  –         HEAD, FINANCE & STRATEGY

 

tony-mokogwuA versatile and astute banking and finance professional, with a demonstrable record of success gained in several Nigerian commercial banks over a period of 18 years.

Tony possesses exceptional strength and ability in business forecasting, risk management and playing a pivotal role in the delivery of high yield debt strategies. He holds a B.Sc in Sociology and MBA Management from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and M.Sc International Finance and Banking from University of Bedfordshire, UK. His career has involved various roles in commercial banking from starting and growing branches and business units, business development, executive sales and marketing, credit and financial analysis.

Before joining GPC, he worked with Fidelity Bank Plc for 10 years from 2001 and resigned in 2011 as the Regional Head of Construction and Project Finance, Northern Nigeria.  For the period February 2012 to November 2013, Tony was Head of Corporate Banking (Abuja and Northern Region) at Keystone Bank Limited.



HASSAN SERIKI        –      Head, Internal Control and Audit

hassan-serikiHassan is a highly experienced and multi-disciplined supply chain strategist. His experience gained over 15 years covers Supply Chain Operations, Logistics, Process Improvement, Audit and Control.

He rose to Senior Management positions in Lafarge Cement WAPCO where he managed annual transport spend in excess of N18 billion. He is a chartered Accountant and married with children.

 

 

 



 

MERRY OKORO – SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT OFFICER

merry-okoroA Technologist by training, holds a Diploma in Computer/ Electronics Technology from the University of Calabar and the Professional qualification of the National Institute of Science Technology ( NIST), Ibadan.

He joined GPC Energy and Logistics Ltd four years ago and has since served in various capacities as Operations Assistant (Diesel dump) and Vehicle Inspection Officer. He is currently the Safety Officer in the Safety, Health and Environment Department.

Prior to joining GPC, he was involved in Community Development projects with an N.G.O             (Center for Development Support Initiatives – CEDSI), Micro Project-3 under the sponsorship of the EU. He also worked at the Quality Control Department of Levant Construction Ltd.

Owing to his flair for Occupational Health and Safety, he joined the NYSC road safety club during his service year and has just completed the NEBOSH-IGC training program.



WASIU SAIBU  –                Head Accounts

wasiu-saibuWasiu is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years work experience in the field. He is a seasoned professional, who has worked with than 6 organizations including the West African Examinations Council and several Audit and Accounting Firms.

Since his addition to the Management team in 2015, he has transformed the Accounting department, redefining the framework and implementing the latest in IFRS global accounting standards across the business. He is a multi-skilled professional whose capabilities span Book Keeping, Audit, Analysis and Internal Control.

 



Nwakonobi John Ekene –        Legal Officer

ekeneNwakonobi John Ekene. Studied English (BA) Honours at the university of Nigeria Nsukka. He later studied law at the Enugu Campus of the same University where he obtained his LLB degree in law. He obtained his BL at the Nigeria law school, Lagos campus. He is the legal officer of GPC Energy and Logistics ltd.

 

 

 

 

 



Anthony Idiong –          Head of Maintenance and Technical Service
idiongA man with a juggernaut of technical and managerial experiences, ranging from construction engineering, civil engineering, design and technical support to business management.

Work experience includes; RIFTON AND COMMUNITY PLAY THINGS, Germany/ U.S./ UK. Design and technical support analyst/ marketing and sales consultant, THE COOPERATIVE GROUPS, UK. Branch manager. DREAMS FURNITURES, UK. Branch manager and after sales technical support expert.
Mr Idiong brings to GPC an undeniable wealth of talent both in technical services, business acumen and people’s management.
